It’s been a massively busy few months! We’ve raised a lot of money- around £85 000 so far through grants and fundraising events. A massive thank you to anyone who bought a brick, sponsored Louie hiking Snowdon, or visited us at Carnival
That’s really kick started the next phase of work. We now have a new sub floor throughout the building, so we have a base to work from (literally)
The walls for our new kitchen and toilets are built, the loft is finished, and we have first fix wiring and plumbing complete. The reconfigured spaces will be much better for our volunteers and members, and eventually provided disabled facilities and access
What’s next? Our plasterers are starting work now. In November we’ll be adding lights and heating, and starting on getting a finished floor in place
When will we finish? We’re not going to fall into that trap- but it feels like we’re getting close!
