The big rebuild of our hall continues!
After 18 months of hard work, we have finished the replacement of the floor in the main hall
Over 100 tons of concrete and rubble removed, new supporting walls, concrete beams and concrete screed have gone back in, and we now have a safe, secure floor that should last the lifetime of the building

So what’s next? We need to knock down the Kitchen, Scouters Room, and Toilets, take out the floor, and rebuild it all. The building needs to be re-wired and replumbed, new flooring put in, and everything redecorated
Builders start work late January, so a team of volunteers emptied all these rooms into the main hall in late December. It’s amazing how many niknaks, doo hickeys, and thingamajigs a Scout Group collects over the years!
